The Associate Patient Care Coordinator isresponsible for the completion of set processes and protocols.
Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to supportthe vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellentcustomer service and adhere to Lean processes. Supports the teamsin meeting financial, clinical and service goals.
Schedule:
This is37.5-hour work week hours to be determined by the supervisor uponhire. Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:45 am to closing(approximately 6:00pm) and Saturday between the hours of 7:45 am toclosing (approximately noon).

Primary Responsibilities:
- Obtain accurate and updated patient information, such as name,address, insurance information
- Perform insurance verification onthe date of service
- Check In/ Check Out patients
- Ability tocomplete patient requests eeds
- Obtain patient signatures forrequired documents
- File and maintain medical records
- Confirmsand schedule appointments
- Follow the collections proceduresaccording to Optum Medical guidelines
- Perform referraldocumentation promptly
- Performs certain follow-up services forpatients in a prompt and courteous manner, such as schedulingspecialist appointments, scheduling follow-up appointments
- Adhereto the standards identified via Sparq regarding Optum EmployeePolicies
- Work cohesively with fellow employees to achievespecific team goals
- Comfortable working in high pace environment
- Assure the continuity of care through scheduling and trackingsystems
- Provide effective communication to patient / family teammembers and other health care professionals as evidenced bydocumentation, case conferences, communication notes, andevaluations
- Comply with administrative policies to ensure qualityof care
- Demonstrate precision and efficiency in scanningdocuments and monitoring the fax server, retrieving and / orscanning documents and assigning to the appropriate electronicchart
- All employees are expected to keep abreast on currentmedical requirements relevant to their position, which includesmaintaining patient confidentiality and abiding by all HIPPA andOSHA requirements

Required Qualifications:
- High SchoolDiploma/GED (or higher)
- 1 years of customer service or healthcarerelated experience
- Ability to cover other offices if needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 years of experience working inmedical front office position performing duties such as schedulingappointments, checking patients in/out, insurance verification,collecting co-pays, and maintaining medical records
- Experienceworking with an electronic health record (EPIC)
- Beginner level ofcomputer proficiency (multi-tasking through multiple applicationsincluding Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word)
- Knowledge ofMedical terms
- Knowledge of insurance carriers and managed careplans
- Bilingual in
English and Spanish Soft Skills:
- Ability towork independently and maintain good judgment and accountability
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet all deadlines
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to work well with health care providers
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbaland written communication skills; ability to speak clearly andconcisely, conveying information in a manner that others canunderstand, as well as ability to understand and interpretinformation from others The salary range for this role is $16.
00 to$28.85 per hour based on full-time employment.
