  • /n Enhanced PTO for candidateswith 5 years of relevant work experience /n /n /n /n A BriefOverview /n The Respiratory Therapy Clinical Coordinator has metall core skills of a respiratory therapist III and is able toperform all of the general RCP duties.

They act as a resource forrespiratory therapists, physicians, nurses and other hospitalsemployees. They also function as a liaison between the staff anddepartment manager. Responsible for clinical supervision of staffemployees. Responsible for coordinating of shift assignments asneeded. Initiates and maintains positive relationships withpatients, caregivers, families and co-workers. /n What You Will Do/n /n

  • General RCP duties including mechanical ventilation,routine respiratory care, special procedures. /n
  • Initiates andmaintains positive relationships with patients, caregivers, andfamilies and coworkers /n
  • Takes responsibility for selfdevelopment and supports a learning environment /n
  • Displayscommitment to the hospital and its mission and values /n
  • Displaysexpertise in skills as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. /n
  • Clinical supervision of staff employees /n
  • Provides leadershipsupport, resources and assessment of personnel to maintain qualityservices /n
  • Provides technical and clinical direction to staff,including staff orientation, training and development, qualityinitiatives and program development. /n
  • Act as a resource,consultant for direct patient care for respiratory therapy staff,physicians, nurses or other hospitals employees. /n
  • Function as aliaison between staff and department manager /n
  • Coordinates orshift assignments as needed using either on-line workload orassignment tools. /n
  • Troubleshoot, report broken equipment to thedepartment operations assistant who will report to ClinicalEngineering /n /n Additional Responsibilities /n /n
  • Performsother duties as assigned. /n
  • Complies with all policies andstandards. /n
  • For specific duties and responsibilities, refer todocumentation provided by the department during orientation. /n
  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintainProtected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annualtraining, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures arein place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. /nQualifications Education /n /n
  • Associate’s Degree in RespiratoryTherapy (Required) /n
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy orrelated field (Preferred) /n /n Work Experience /n /n
  • 5 yearsclinical experience in adult/pediatric respiratory care practice(Required) /n
  • 5 years clinical experience in critical care(Required) /n /n Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities /n /n
  • Foundationof adult clinical care to include advanced therapies: inhalednitric oxide, airway clearance modalities, mechanical ventilation,airway management, non-invasive ventilation, helium oxygenmixtures, tracheostomy care, blood gases and transport asapplicable per site. (Required proficiency) /n
  • Must demonstratehighly effective oral and written communication skills. (Requiredproficiency) /n
  • Highly self-motivated and creative. Must be ableto innovate and influence. (Required proficiency) /n
  • Must workcollaboratively with administrators, physicians, nurses and otherhealth care providers. (Required proficiency) /n /n Licenses andCertifications /n /n
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)(Required) /n
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required) /n
  • PediatricAdvanced Life Support (PALS) (Preferred) /n
  • Advanced Cardiac LifeSupport (ACLS) (Preferred) /n
  • Current RCP Ohio License granted bythe Ohio Medical Board (Required) /n
  • American Association forRespiratory Care membership (Required) /n
  • Certified with at leastone advanced national certification by the NBRC or CTTScertification. (Required) /n
  • NRP Certified (Neonatal facilities)(Required within 6 Months) /n /n Position Details /n Must have atleast 5 years of respiratory therapy experience, 5 of those yearsin critical care. This position is for days, (3) 12 hour shifts perweek. The schedule is flexible and there is also call 24/7. /n /nPhysical Demands /n /n
