Job Description
The Oswego County Social Services Department Mental Hygiene Division has an immediate opening for Mental Health Services Coordinator. This position would be responsible for access, eligibility determination, and prioritization of referrals to local Community Mental Health programs such as Case Management, Care Coordination, Assertive Community Treatment, Assisted Outpatient Treatment programs, Residential programs, and Family Support Services. The individual is responsible for coordination of access to these services across community provider agencies under the general supervision of the Director of Community Services.
Qualifications:
Possession of a master’s degree in counseling, social work, social science,health, psychology, psychiatric rehabilitation, or a closely related field and three (3) years orexperience in community based behavioral health and human services; OR Possession of abachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, social science, health, psychology, psychiatricrehabilitation, or a closely related field and four (4) years of experience in community basedbehavioral health and human services.
This title has been approved to be filled without the need to take an exam for a limited period through the HELP Program. Candidates appointed permanently to this title will NOT need to take an exam and will remain in their position even when the HELP Program ends.
Pay Rate:
$30.57 per hour plus competitive benefits package including: health, life, dental and vision insurance; NYS Retirement; and Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
