Summer Youth Program Health Coordinator Position Available In Suffolk, New York

Summer Youth Program Health Coordinator The Flower Kids Foundation LLC Lindenhurst, NY 11757 Our summer program serves a small group of approximately 15-20 children, ages [2 to 12], providing a fun, engaging, & safe environment through outdoor activities, creative projects, & group play. We are seeking a reliable & qualified Health Director to oversee health-related protocols and contribute to daily hygiene & sanitization practices during scheduled hours.

Position Overview:

The Health Director will manage camper & staff health needs, administer medications when necessary, & respond to minor injuries/illness concerns that occur during their scheduled shift only. While they are not expected to be on-call outside of working hours, they will communicate closely with program leadership to ensure staff are equipped to handle basic health needs when the Health Director is off-site.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct simple daily health screenings & maintain health records for campers & staff. Administer prescribed medications & provide basic care for minor injuries or illnesses. Maintain & monitor first aid supplies / emergency materials. Communicate with parents/guardians regarding any health-related incidents during shift hours. Log incidents on medical log. Assist with sanitizing spaces & high touch surfaces during scheduled hours (wiping down with antibacterial tables/toys). Restock hygiene supplies (hand sanitizer, soap, cleaning wipes). Collaborate with program staff to implement daily cleaning & wellness routines.

Program Dates:

Session 1, July 7th to 11th Session 2, July 14th to 18th Session 3, July 28th to August 1st Session 4, August 4th to August 8th Session 5, August 18th to August 22nd Session 6, August 25th to August 29th

Schedule:

Part-Time, 2-3 hours per day, 3 to 5 days per week. Example shift, 10:30 AM-1:30 PM ​Current CPR and First Aid certification (this year, ​required).
