Director Article 31 Operations, Prescribers, and Clinical Practice Supervisor. The clinical front desk team members will work closely with the Clinical Practice Supervisor to ensure that tasks and deadlines are followed as well as maintaining a smooth, effective, professional, and efficient clinical front desk setting.

Rotating Schedule:

Flexibility to work 8:00 am until 4:00pm AND 12:00pm until 8:00pm Monday thru Friday, alternating within the week, and one Saturday per month (35 hour work week) Essential Duties Key duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Understanding and supporting the agency’s mission & treatment philosophy: Treats all patients, families, and co-workers with respect & courtesy. Demonstrates & models’ sensitivity to cultural background of children, families, and co-workers. Answers calls for the front desk line as well as Centralized Scheduling to book or rebook prescriber and clinician appointments. Greeting all patients and guests and ensuring that guests sign in on our guest log and clinicians are notified promptly of patient arrival. Adherence to clinic opening and closing procedures especially ensuring that no Team member is left alone on-site at the end of the day (closing shift). Collaborates directly with clinicians and prescribers in supporting tasks with scheduling.

EMR functions:

Entering all demographic information updates and changes ensuring that this data matches billing/insurance information for patients Perform daily eligibility checks to verify and update insurance information for ongoing patients. Monitor compliance with appointments and reschedules as needed. Maintains and updates prescribers’ schedules in EHR when any changes are made to their times available. Attends and participates in supervision and staff meetings. Maintains knowledge of OMH regulations as well as agency policy, procedures, and developments as they relate to administrative practice. Performs other related duties such as monitoring office supplies and products used in the facility to ensure these are ordered timely and supplies do not run out. Maintain an orderly and safe workspace ensuring that all patient information is kept out of sight and locked at the end of the day to ensure PHI is not shared inappropriately. Supports the overall strategic plan of the organization. Ability to adhere to our organization’s core values and commitments.

Essential Qualifications Key qualifications include:
Education/Training/Licensure:

High School Diploma Bilingual Spanish required.

Experience:

Must have three years’ experience working in a medical/clinical office. Must have relevant experience working with children and families. 3.

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:

Ability to engage potential patients to assess appropriateness for services. Excellent interpersonal, organizational skills Must have strong computer skills, with knowledge of Electronic Medical Records, Microsoft Office, Excel Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to problem solve, multitask, and work independently. Must have in-depth knowledge of insurance verification and authorization process. Provide coverage for other front desk staff as needed. Ability to access and utilize ADP app on smartphone or other devices for access to agency time clock, PTO requests and other benefits. Physical/Travel Requirements The employee in this role must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, climb stairs and carry up to 30lbs. The employee must be able to meet these requirements with or without reasonable accommodation.
