Description
The Manager of the Psychaitric Admissions Department provides leadership and oversight for a dynamic team responsible for two critical functions within the
Behavioral Health Service Line:
the provision of timely and clinically sound psychiatric assessments (in person and via telehealth) for patients in medical settings—including Emergency Departments and inpatient medical units across the system—and the coordination and facilitation of external psychiatric referrals from outside sources. This role ensures sooth clinical operations, promotes collaboration between medical and behavioral health teams, and supports efficient patient flow into appropriate levels of psychiatric care. The manager utilizes strong clinical expertise, operational knowledge, and critical thinking to maintain high standards for quality, compliance, and service excellence in a high volume, fast paced environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
-MASTERS
DEGREE IN SOCIAL WORK, COUNSELING, PSYCHOLOGY OR RELATED FIELD REQUIRED.
-2 YEARS
OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH EXPERIENCE, PREFERABLY WITHIN THE PSYCHIATRIC INTAKE ENVIRONMENT. HEALTHCARE PROVIDER
(CPR)
CERTIFICATION WITHIN 6 MONTHS AND COMPREHENSIVE CRISIS MANAGEMENT CERTIFICATION WITHIN 12 MONTHS OF START DATE IN DEPARTMENT/POSITION

PRIVATE VEHICLE FOR TRANSPORTATION DURING ASSIGNED WORKING HOURS

CURRENT DRIVER’S LICENSE AND AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE REQUIRED
