Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership and Strategic Oversight:

Provide executive leadership for planning, coordinating, and administering overall operations at the system level across PMCN hospitals. Accountable for short-and-long-range planning to achieve goals and objectives, fiscal control, physician and interdepartmental relations, and personnel management. Develop, market, and promote new programs and services while maintaining success of current programs across the system. Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Chief Nursing Officers (CNO), surgical services directors, and senior leadership teams to ensure alignment of surgical services with the philosophy of PMCN’s mission and strategic goals. Oversee the system’s surgical services operations, ensuring alignment of hospital-specific and system-wide objectives. Partner with PMCN CNO’s to align nursing professional practice.

Quality & Service Management:

Manage system-wide quality and patient experience initiatives for surgical services across PMCN’s hospitals. Partner and coordinate with system leadership on quality and patient experience improvement initiatives across all hospitals, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality patient care and operational effectiveness.

Collaboration and Mentorship:

Foster a culture of collaboration across departments and with hospital leadership teams to integrate performance improvement strategies. Mentor and coach surgical services management and operational managers to ensure alignment with system goals focusing on quality, patient experience, and access to care.

Board Reporting:

Develop annual surgical services goals for the organization in collaboration with the Chief Medical (CMO) and Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), the Board of Directors and other senior leaders.

Additional Responsibilities:

Serve as the resource for surgical services expertise for the hospitals within PMCN. Maintain strict confidentiality in alignment with the organizations’ policies. Promote the mission, values, and goals of PMCN while driving initiatives throughout the system.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Healthcare Administration, Nursing). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other relevant software. Proven leadership and teaching abilities with a strong focus on driving improvement outcomes. Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development. Strong interpersonal skills and conflict resolution in a high- stress environment. The ability to juggle multiple projects at one time.

ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

Certification (or eligibility) as a Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) Membership in national association of perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN) Training or certification in Lean Healthcare or Six Sigma preferred
