What You’ll Do:
As a Clinical Support Specialist, you’ll be a key player in ensuring smooth operations within the Imaging Department. You’ll provide a wide range of clinical and administrative support, including: Serving as a resource for imaging support staff Interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals with professionalism and empathy Managing patient registration, insurance verification, and pre-authorization for imaging procedures Scheduling appointments and preparing patients for imaging exams Maintaining patient records in compliance with confidentiality standards Supporting departmental operations, including inventory management and clerical tasks

High school graduate or GED equivalent. 12 months previous experience in the use of computers, patient record maintenance and/or reception is required. Ability to assume a leadership role in the absence of immediate supervision. In-depth working knowledge of Hospital and Radiology Information Systems.
Knowledge of third party healthcare coverage and billing requirements.
Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to effectively interact with patients, physicians, consumers and other healthcare professionals.
