Specialized Medical Assistant – Patient Coordinator Palmetto Gastroenterology and Hepatology 103 Gregg Ave NW, Aiken, SC 29801 A fast paced GI clinic needs the services of an experienced Medical Assistant to create charts and triage patients for providers. In addition, the employee will be expected to schedule outpatient GI procedures at our ambulatory surgery center located alongside the clinic. Must have at least 2 years experience in a healthcare clinic. Must have good interpersonal skills and have the ability to multitask. Responsibilities Interview patients and document medical history, vital signs prescribe medications schedule appointments Update and file medical records order laboratory services and radiology schedule outpatient procedures Assist during medical examination Requirements Proven 2 year minimum working experience as a medical assistant ability to multi-task and prioritise work Excellent written and verbal communication skill good interpersonal skill Certified Medical assistants will be preferred.
