About Us:
Swish Orthodontics is a boutique, patient-centered orthodontic practice in Beaufort, SC. We take pride in offering more doctor time, personalized attention, and an exceptional patient experience. Our small, dedicated team focuses on high-quality care in a welcoming, upbeat environment where every patient feels valued.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Patient Care Coordinator to join our team! The ideal candidate is outgoing, organized, and passionate about helping patients begin their orthodontic journey. The primary focus of this role is front desk operations and patient coordination — guiding patients through their first interactions with us, scheduling treatment, coordinating financial arrangements, and making every encounter feel special. Because we are a small office, this role will also be cross-trained to assist with basic clinical duties when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Welcome new and existing patients warmly, answer questions, and guide them through their orthodontic journey. Present financial options, assist with insurance claims, and help patients feel confident in their investment. Answer phones, schedule appointments, manage communications, and maintain an organized front desk. Help manage new patient paperwork, welcome packets, and follow-up tasks. Work closely with the doctor and clinical team to ensure seamless patient flow and handoffs. Provide occasional clinical support (chairside assistance, sterilization, etc.) when needed.
What We’re Looking For:
A warm, friendly, and confident personality who enjoys connecting with people. Prior experience in an orthodontic or dental office is a plus, but not required. Strong verbal communication and phone etiquette. Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced setting. Willing to pitch in across roles to support the team and patients. Passionate about creating an excellent patient experience.
