BEHAVIORAL HEALTH COORDINATOR POSITION SUMMARY

The Behavioral HealthCoordinator is responsible for the development, implementation,clinical and/or administrative supervision, and monitoring of aBehavioral Health delivery system meeting

NCCHC/ACA

standards. TheBehavioral Health Coordinator works with the Regional Manager, SiteAdministrator, Medical Director, and Psychiatrist to coordinatetotal contract services.

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH COORDINATOR ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS

Acts as point of contact for administrative staff fordiscussion of treatment programs and problem resolution asneeded. Coordinates development and revision of policies and proceduresfor the identification, assessment, and provision of required clinical services for inmates. Supervises the planning, development and implementation oftreatment programs contracted to VitalCore. Provides clinical and/or administrative supervision to staff ofBehavioral Health Services. Monitors efforts of Behavioral Health Services to ensureclinical services are being provided in a timely, professional manner. Provides and assigns clinical on-call duties. Ensures treatment programs contracted are integrated andappropriately staffed. Provides administrative support to psychiatric staff. Coordinates the facility’s Behavioral Health QualityImprovement Program. Attends training and meetings as required.

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH COORDINATOR REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS,REGISTRATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Doctorate or Master’s degree in Psychology or related fieldfrom an accredited college or university. Fully licensed (or license eligible with application pending)to practice psychology or social work in South Carolina. Satisfactory background investigation report.
