- $102K a year 1 day ago Qualifications Management Bachelor’s degree Senior level 4 years Full Job Description Job Description Summary The Director of the MUSC Children’s Health Institute of Community Health will be responsible for driving strategic efforts that advance the health and well-being of children and their families through multidisciplinary services and initiatives that extend outside the hospital and clinic walls.
This position will report to the Children’s and Women’s Integrated Center for Clinical Excellence (ICCE) Administrator and will work closely with internal and external partners on programs/initiatives that support three key areas: advocacy and outreach, community benefit, and research and innovation. The Director will provide strategic leadership in the development of a community health strategy that aligns with MUSC Children’s Health goals, strategies, and priorities. They will be responsible for the management and implementation of existing community health programs/initiatives, as well as the development of new comprehensive programs/initiatives. This position will be responsible for staffing, budget, outcome evaluation, fund development, brand management, and reporting for the Institute. Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to determine innovative approaches to community health. Oversee the planning and development of new comprehensive programs/initiatives that align with enterprise goals and Community Health Needs Assessment. Build and maintain effective partnerships with community, government, and other relevant stakeholders. Collect and review data to inform program/initiative development, funding opportunities, and community alignment efforts. Assess and enhance the effectiveness of existing team and business processes. Serve as a prominent voice in supporting and advancing efforts that address the social drivers of health for SC children and their families. Maintain visibility within the enterprise by facilitating or participating in key meetings/committees and soliciting input from appropriate team members. Support the development of the Community Health Needs Assessment and identify key priority areas based on the assessment findings. 35%
- Program Leadership and Team Management Provide day-to-day oversight of existing community health programs/initiatives.
Provide leadership and guidance to programmatic team members. This includes job descriptions, job duties, success criteria, and conduction performance evaluations. Ensure effective utilization and control of manpower, supplies, and equipment assigned or available for the performance of required duties. Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to ensure all services delivered by programmatic team members are performed timely, effectively, and in compliance with grant or funding regulations. Monitor program/initiative performance and outcomes, making data-driven decisions to optimize effectiveness, impact, and areas for enhancement and scaling. 35%•
Budget and Resource Management:

finance to develop the Institute’s budget Ensure fiscal accountability for the Institute. Develop and manage program/initiative budgets and finances, including monitoring revenue and expenditures, forecasting, budget planning, and reporting requirements. Prepare reports and presentations on expenses, program outcomes, challenges, and successes to internal leadership, community partners, and funders. Work with MUSC Foundation and Pediatrics in the creation of new funding accounts and transfer of funds. Seek and secure funding opportunities to support the development of new programs/initiatives. Support the long-term goal of improving the financial success of the Institute by exercising sound judgment and discretion in decision-making that impacts financial goals.
