$5,000 Position Summary Epworth Children’s Home is seeking a compassionate, visionary, and experienced Director to lead the Epworth Center for Counseling in the Lowcountry region. The Director is responsible for the overall management, supervision, and strategic direction of the Center’s mental health and counseling services. This leader will ensure that services are client-centered, culturally responsive, and align with national standards of excellence in behavioral health. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership and vision for the Center’s programs and services. Supervise and support clinical staff, promoting professional development and service quality. Monitor and manage the Center’s budget, identify funding opportunities, and establish financial priorities. Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and professional standards in the delivery of mental health services. Oversee individual and group counseling services, assessments, and crisis intervention strategies. Maintain data systems and reporting processes to evaluate program effectiveness. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advocate for mental health access and innovation. Qualifications Ph.D. or Psy.
D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology preferred. Current professional licensure in South Carolina required (LISW, LPC, or LMFT). Minimum five years of mental health experience, with at least two years in a supervisory or leadership role. Strong background in diagnostic evaluation and treatment planning. Excellent written, verbal, and technological communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and clinical documentation systems. Must successfully pass all required background screenings (drug screen, SLED, DSS Central Registry, etc.).
