Dental Patient Care Coordinator Confidential Summerville, SC 29486 Dental Patient Care Coordinator Overview We are seeking an experienced Dental Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) to join our team and support the highest level of patient satisfaction and care. As the liaison between patients and providers, the PCC ensures seamless communication, optimal scheduling, and exceptional service throughout the dental care journey. This role is vital to the success of our practice, requiring a combination of dental knowledge, administrative excellence, and genuine care for our patients. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience in a dental practice Familiarity with dental terminology, procedures, and treatment plans Knowledge of insurance breakdowns and patient billing Key Responsibilities Welcome and check in patients with professionalism and warmth Coordinate appointments following provider schedules and office protocols Present and review treatment plans, including fee structures and financing options Maintain a 90% case acceptance rate through clear communication and follow-up Track and manage patient referrals and correspondence with external offices Utilize quick call systems to fill scheduling gaps efficiently Process payments and manage patient account balances Ensure outstanding customer service at every patient interaction Support day-to-day administrative needs of the dental office Other duties as assigned by management Required Skills Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Confident phone etiquette and ability to handle multi-line systems Organizational strength and multitasking in a fast-paced environment Ability to explain clinical information and payment options clearly Proficient in dental software systems (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Open Dental preferred) Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with experience 401(k) with employer matching Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid holidays Employee perks and discounts If you’re passionate about providing compassionate care, supporting dental health, and creating positive patient experiences, we would love to hear from you.
