The Assistant Director of Prevention and Healthy Relationships is responsible for researching, developing, delivering, and evaluating comprehensive prevention programs for CCU students. These programs focus on promoting healthy relationships, consent, bystander intervention, sexual health education, and overall wellness. The role involves aligning outreach activities with department goals, collaborating with campus and community partners, and serving as a content expert in interpersonal violence prevention and sexual health.

Salary range:

$55,559.00 (midpoint) – $72,134.00 (maximum). Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This position may include occasional travel for conferences/professional development. This position will include some nights and weekends. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.
Duties
Duties include, but are not limited to:

Program Development and Implementation:

Develop, implement, and oversee initiatives aimed at preventing interpersonal violence, including healthy relationships, stalking, consent, bystander intervention, and sexual health education.

Needs Assessment and Evaluation:

Conduct ongoing needs assessments to identify high-risk populations on campus and evaluate current programming to ensure alignment with learning outcomes and make necessary adjustments.

Outreach Education:

Align outreach activities, including workshops, presentations, group activities, and special events with department goals.

Supervision and Mentorship:

Supervise and mentor staff and student educators involved in prevention and wellness education and programming.

Collaboration and Coordination:

Collaborate with campus and community partners to create a coordinated response to interpersonal violence and prevention education. Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree in health and/or wellness-related programs/majors; experience developing and/or leading wellness outreach and/or programming.

Preferred Qualifications:

CHES certified; experience in advocacy work with survivors of interpersonal violence; experience working with college students; experience working with sexual health prevention and healthy relationships education.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Strong knowledge of college-based primary prevention strategies, peer education, and program design. Excellent organizational skills and proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite products. Ability to navigate a variety of software platforms and adapt to different communication styles. Experience in supervising student educators or student groups and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
