Additionally, the Regional Community Manager will increase community engagement of Healthy Learners through improved public relations, cultivating relationships with various stakeholders to increase and expand local program impact.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
50% Community Engagement Relationship building with school districts, providers, community partners and funders Increase mass health screening opportunities (vision, hearing, dental and asthma). Build relationships with school districts, medical providers, funders and community stakeholders in neighboring counties to expand service delivery opportunities. Identify and cultivate summer and afterschool service delivery opportunities to include health screenings, hunger relief as well as traditional HBL services to children in need. Identify and build opportunities for telehealth services to expand service delivery opportunities. Build local partnership opportunities with FQHCs, local United Way Associations, medical providers, school districts, churches, local government, local service organizations and CBOs to increase referral options Determine existing or new opportunities to bring partners together to address children’s health focusing on Community Health Navigation and the Social Determinants of Health Present to various stakeholder groups on Healthy Learners’ mission and impact, HBLs and the challenges of lack of access to essential healthcare services. Accompany Director of Fund Development on cultivation visits as needed to build relationships with existing and potential funders and supporters. Use local data and metrics to demonstration local impact Assist corporate fund development staff with local fundraising events as needed 30% Program Administration Coordinates the day to day operations of the local Healthy Learners service delivery systems Staff management of Student Services Coordinator(s) and AmeriCorps Volunteers Administrative tasks including weekly invoicing, payroll, office logistics, vehicle maintenance, ordering supplies and budgeting. Attend monthly staff meetings with the Healthy Learners statewide team and be available for other meetings as needed. Apricot database management and reporting 20% Service Delivery Provide case management and coordination of care for students referred to Healthy Learners, serving as a liaison between the school nurses and the healthcare professionals. Student transportation to and from appointments as needed Job Specifications Commitment to the mission, vision and core values of Healthy Learners and the Sisters of Charity Health System Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline (Master’s Degree preferred) (social work, healthcare, school nursing, education or other) Knowledge and assessment skills necessary for identifying, discussing and referring children with health barriers to learning such as dental, vision, asthma, mental/behavioral health, hearing and hunger. Understanding of school health issues and experience necessary for the successful implementation of Healthy Learners services. Solid skills across all Microsoft applications as well as database software applications. Solid organizational, leadership and team building skills Ability to work as a team member and collaborate with others of divergent views Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic work environment Strong ability to build relationships and engage partners across various stakeholder groups (school nurses, healthcare partners, local businesses, other non-profit organizations and youth serving organizations). Strong verbal and written communication abilities This employee will be required to undergo criminal background checks including DMV, random drug/alcohol screening and others.
