Position Summary:
The Lead Clinical Nurse coordinatesthe total care for a group of patients throughout their stay toachieve clinical, financial, and organizational outcomes. The LeadClinical Nurse is instrumental in mentoring and managing theclinical staff to promote quality, safety, and excellence in care.
Serves as a clinical expert and manages an evolving clinicalpicture, including identifying impending changes in clinicalcondition and responds timely and appropriately. The Lead ClinicalNurse assumes responsibility and is accountable for overall unitoperations in the absence of the Nurse Manager. Able to apply theprinciples of evidence-based care and service excellence intopractice.
Position Details:
40 hours/week; fulltime, benefitted Education/Experience BSN is required. If hired into the Clinical Coordinator role previously,enrollment into a BSN is required within 6 months of transition tothe LCN role. Steady progress, defined as 9 credits/year, isrequired, with degree completion within 4 years. At least three years of experience in the practice specialty isrequired.
Licensure/Certification:
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the State ofMaryland. Certification in clinical area of specialty preferred; if notcurrent, will seek certification within two (2) years of hire. Certification in advanced life support specific to area ofclinical specialty required (ACLS, PALS, or NRP).
Salary Range:
Minimum 46.57 per hour – Maximum 72.18 per hour.
Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience forroles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the rangeis displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur duringcandidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensationdiscussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
