Full Job Description Position Summary:

The Patient Check-Out Coordinator plays a vital role in the patient experience by handling check-out procedures, scheduling follow-up appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and providing necessary paperwork. This position requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner upon check-out. Schedule follow-up appointments, referrals, and procedures as needed. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for upcoming appointments. Provide patients with necessary paperwork, receipts, and instructions for follow-up care. Ensure accuracy of patient records and update demographic information as needed. Communicate effectively with providers, medical assistants, and front desk staff to coordinate patient flow. Address patient inquiries regarding scheduling and general practice policies. Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality at all times. Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ years of experience in a medical office, customer service, or administrative role preferred. Knowledge of insurance verification and medical scheduling procedures is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) software . Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Reliable and punctual.
