The Clinical Placement Coordinator (CPC) is a full-time 12 month staff position in the Mary Black College of Nursing. The CPC is responsible for the acquisition of clinical sites and preceptors for undergraduate and graduate nursing students. The position ensures studentpliance with health and other clinical agency data requirements. Serving both Spartanburg and Greenville campus locations. The Clinical Placement Coordinator reports to the Dean or Dean’s designee. This position requires travel to campus and clinical sites in the Spartanburg/Greenville and surrounding counties as needed.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience Typically holds a high school diploma or GED. Requires 1 or more years of job related experience.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials Successful background check is required.
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, or high school diploma and 4 years work experience that is directly related to the area of employment; or equivalency Health Care experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent verbal and writtenmunication skills exerting extreme patience and tact in dealing with public via telephone and direct contact; maintain confidentiality; ability to plan and execute work schedule while handling multiple tasks; ability to handle stress.

Job Duty Collaborates with the Associate Dean(s),Program Director(s), Clinical Coordinator(s), and Dean to identify and acquire clinical sites and preceptors for undergraduate and graduate students that meet educational requirements.

Job Duty Monitors, reports, and submits appropriate forms to clinical agencies that may include but are not limited to criminal background checks, CPR certification, drug screen, health and immunization requirements.
