Company DescriptionThe Patient Care Coordinator facilitates the delivery of health care through customer service, administrative tasks, and assisting with patient care. As the first point of contact for our patients & customers, the Patient Care Coordinator is, quite literally, the voice & face of STAR! What we offer:

Job DescriptionGreet patients and provide outstanding customer service.

Collecting, posting, and depositing patient payments.

Call new referrals and manage the phone system.

Electronic scheduling.

Verify patient demographics and insurance information.

Update patient charts as needed.

Reconciliation of the day prior.

Faxing, filing, and performing any other duties as assigned.

QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.1-2 years of experience in medical billing and collections.

Knowledge of medical billing and coding, insurance regulations, and healthcare reimbursement policies.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.
