Assures all demographic and insurance information isaccurate, complete and up to date in the patient’s chart. Scanscurrent insurance card and photo identification into system Provides, explains and reviews for accurate completion, allregistration forms, i.e. patient representative, patientregistration form, and family information form where applicable andobtains signatures as required Provides and explains the authorization to release healthinformation to patient at their request Determines balances due including past balance, co-payments,co-insurance and deductibles, referring to patient accounts asnecessary; takes responsibility for collecting and posting paymentsfrom patients at time of service via checks, cash or credit card incompliance with Cash Control Policies and Procedures Invite patients with the Patient Portal enrollment (PxP) incompliance with meaningful use guidelines Provides after visit summary in compliance with ACO guidelines Prepares batch report daily to total and balance collections Begins the check in process in EPM, Phreesia, and Siemens. Act onnotations in all systems and completes the auto-flow processsuccessfully Schedules /cancels /reschedules patient appointments as ordered bythe physician adhering to scheduling policies and procedures Obtains or issues HMO insurance referrals as required for maximumreimbursement of services rendered Notifies management or other departments appropriately usingclerical templates for various issues/requests/reasons Maintains supply inventories and equipment necessary for theeffective performance of the job; communicates supply needs to theoffice supervisor in a timely manner Maintains a neat, organized, orderly environment in the receptionand waiting room areas, i.e. magazines, physician business cards,brochures, signage, etc. Closes office as needed, ensuring that lights, terminals and officemachines have been turned off and all patients accounted for anddischarged. May be required to set alarm Actively demonstrates good oral and written communication skillswith both internal and external customers Demonstrates flexibility in schedule to meet patient and officeneeds Works with a sense of urgency Collects data from patient charts to complete forms, priorauthorizations and schedule appointments as needed Documents and reports the information and data collected in aretrievable understandable and readable format Is proficient in ability to print and fax documents Is proficient in maintaining adequate office supplies Is proficient in the use of electronic systems Documents information acquired and services implemented in thepatient health record Communicates openly with patients, caregivers and other healthcareprofessionals regarding patient care Uses effective professional communication skills and tools toacquire and disseminate relevant information to patients,caregivers and health care providers across the continuum ofcare Performs other tasks as required for the effective and efficientfunctioning of the practice when directed to do so by supervisoryand managerial personnel

RequiredQualifications:
High School Diploma/GED (or higher) 1+ years of receptionist or customer service experience in ahealthcare setting Intermediate level of computer proficiency (including MicrosoftOutlook, Teams)

- Experience as a receptionist in a healthcare setting
- Experience working with an electronic health record
