JOB SUMMARY
Oversees patient services supervisors and tray line techs, including developing policy and procedures, conducting training, discipline, labor scheduling, and performance evaluations, while cultivating a positive culture. Responsible for leading staff to adhere to both department core values and dietary expectations of physicians and registered dietitians. Oversees ongoing development and success of C-BORD patient service system and patient meal delivery system to achieve excellence in patient satisfaction.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education and/or experience: High school diploma or equivalent required, 4 year college degree preferred. Experience in customer service, leadership and food safety required, 3-5 years’ experience as a food service supervisor preferred. Must have skills and knowledge of modified diets, be ServSafe certified within 6 months of hire, and learn specific requirements of the hospital and department.
Knowledge:
Knowledge and practice of rules for commercial food service cleaning and sanitation practices required. Working knowledge of food service rules and diets required. Effective scheduling to limit overtime. Knowledge of Patient Service diet software programs required within 3 months of hire (Paragon and Cbord).
Skills:
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Competent in computer use, including office suites, able to learn new software quickly. Must be able to design and implement programs and systems, and orient and train personnel.
Abilities:
Ability to make decisions daily and meet time line for trayline service for patient foods, floor stock and patient food orders. Must be able to maintain clean work areas. Must be able to uphold Core Values for
