New Patient Specialists in Pain Management specialize in all facets of chronic pain management and procedures.
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Position is responsible for obtaining all information necessary for a new patient to begin at Specialists in Pain Management. This includes receiving all documentation and reviewing all initial paperwork, creating a patient account and scheduling the patient to be seen.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Receive and process new patient referrals by obtaining all information necessary, creating patient account and scheduling initial visit.
MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Print, sort and log patient referrals, medical records and imaging from electronic fax and email. Create and/or update patient account within electronic medical record. Verify and import state data base information. Request missing information from referral sources. Complete insurance review and request information. Review records for high risk behaviors and document for physician review. Answer phone calls, emails, web enquiries, voicemails in a timely manner. Mail out appropriate patient paperwork. Complete risk assessment and medication review. Communicate with referral source.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Education:
High School diploma required Associate degree or higher preferred
Experience:
1-2 years experience in a healthcare facility required 1-2 years healthcare insurance experience 1-2 years medical patient scheduling preferred
Other:
Excellent Organization, communication and documentation skills
