Clinical Director – Ambulatory Surgical Center Summit Endoscopy Center Union City, TN 38261 Overview We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Clinical Director to lead and oversee clinical operations at our specialized Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC). The Clinical Director will be responsible for overseeing clinical operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and managing medical management practices. This role requires a strong background in healthcare management and a commitment to fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. This leadership role will work closely with clinicians, anesthesia providers, and administrative staff to optimize patient outcomes and operational performance in a high-volume, procedure-driven setting. Duties Oversee daily clinical operations, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements, including State and AAAHC standards. Ensure adherence to GI/endoscopy-specific protocols for sedation, scope reprocessing, infection prevention, and patient safety. Oversee scope cleaning, sterilization, and high-level disinfection processes in compliance with SGNA, AORN, CDC, and manufacturer guidelines. Manage and mentor clinical staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development. Maintain and implement clinical policies and procedures in alignment with CMS, OSHA, and accrediting bodies such as AAAHC. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care coordination. Collaborate with physicians and staff to coordinate patient flow and minimize delays or procedure disruptions. Monitor quality assurance initiatives and implement improvements as necessary. Conduct regular performance evaluations of clinical staff and provide constructive feedback. Serve as a liaison between the clinical team and administration to support operational and financial goals. Manage clinical documentation standards including nursing notes, consents, timeouts, and procedural checklists. Monitor inventory, ensure proper stocking of GI supplies (e.g., biopsy forceps, snares, insufflation systems), and coordinate equipment maintenance. Requirements Proven experience in healthcare management, with a strong understanding of medical management principles. Familiarity with State and AAAHC standards and other relevant regulatory requirements. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with staff, patients, and stakeholders. Registered Nurse (RN) with current and unrestricted TN license required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

CGRN (Certified Gastroenterology Registered Nurse) – preferred but not required

BLS, ACLS
