Job Summary:

Under the general direction of the Director, this position manages the Patient Financial Service business office operations, services, and staff supervision on a daily basis.

This includes:

Managing all self-pay billing, refunds and deposits for all Bartlett facility service lines, WFC and BOPS
Directly supervise all Self Pay Fiscal Technicians- scheduling, training, hiring, performance coaching and professional development, and oversight of their work quality
Reviewing processes for optimization of technology to improve operations
Requires in-depth, expert knowledge of the accounts receivable process in its entirety and a working knowledge of the collection’s operations
This position provides billing guidance to the following departments: PAS, Case Mgmt. and BOPS
This position may stand in for the Director of PFS in their absence. Minimum Qualifications for the

Job:
Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Completes annual educational requirements.

Experience:

Three (3) years medical office/clinic management experience which includes coding, billing, and collections.

Substitutions:

Associate degree in Healthcare related field and one (1) year of management experience in any area (healthcare preferred). OR Six (6) years of experience in healthcare clinic administrative support including any combination of the following: medical office coordination, medical records management, clinic coding, billing, and collections may be substituted for management experience to meet the experience requirement.

Preferred Experience:

Prior Meditech or eClinical Works experience highly desired. Experience creating and working within a budget preferred. License(s): None

None Internal Hires:

 Pay rate will be determined based on applicable personnel rule or union contract terms.

External Hires:

This position starts at $42.28 per hour. Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based upon relevant experience.
