We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized Billing Manager with at least 3-5 years of experience in medical billing and coding. This role is critical in ensuring accurate submission of claims, efficient payment processing, and prompt resolution of billing issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of HIPAA protocols and standards, insurance guidelines (including Medicare and Medicaid), and EHR systems.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and submit medical claims to insurance companies Ensure timely and accurate processing of billing statements and invoices Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve billing issues with insurers and patients Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to services Post payments and reconcile billing accounts Maintain current knowledge of billing regulations and insurance requirements Collaborate with providers, front office, and other billing staff to improve processes and reduce denials
Requirements:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in medical billing, coding, and collections Strong understanding of coding Familiarity with EHR systems ( for example, Athena, Cerner, eCW, Epic, Intergy, Kareo, MedNet, etc.) Knowledge of insurance processes including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills Strong communication and customer service abilities Certification (i.e., CMRS, CPC, or CPB) preferred
Pay Range:
$22.00-$30.00 hourly; pay is based on experience
