$60,687 – $71,139 The purpose of this classification is to assist with county program management and major technical consolation to field services staff for public health programs and grants. The position is responsible for assisting the public health county director in direction and coordinating all administrative activities for the public health department within the county to include assisting with development and maintenance of the budget and strategic plans and goals, disseminating public health programs and information, overseeing expenditures for supplies and maintenance, and serves as a liaison among patients, staff and the public. In addition, the purpose is to perform supervisor work involving the provision of health education and information to the public. Duties and responsibilities include supervising assigned staff, planning and supervising community health education programs, providing public education about various health issues, coordinating/conducting classes and community educational events, maintaining a resource library, distributing news releases to media, preparing documentation and maintaining records, and performing other duties as assigned. This position reports to the Public Health County Director.
