Job Description

Healthcare Manager 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars Franklin, TN 37064 The Healthcare Manager oversees all aspects of medical management, ensuring quality care of residents at the Center for Living and Learning, a Residential Treatment Facility. General Responsibilities Care for residents with acute and/or chronic conditions, building relationships and responding to their physical and emotional needs, while delivering effective care Regularly assess medical needs of all residents Schedule, document, transport and accompany direct care residents to medical healthcare provider appointments Medication management including, but not limited to: maintaining inventory, pull/dispense/administer medication, document and implement medication changes and order with the pharmacy as directed by the supervising physician Ensure that daily medication protocols are followed Provide direct nursing care to residents when needed Conduct health assessments and monitor residents’ health as needed Train and supervise direct care and caregiver staff on the administering and dispensing of medications to Direct Care residents Conduct staff training on basic medical knowledge Assist with resident intake, assessment and discharge planning Up to 2 hours of on call support per week Administrative Responsibilities Ensure all resident medical records are current in both the physical medical chart (red book) and digital file Add medical appointments to the digital calendar and communicate appointments in a timely manner with necessary staff Maintain current insurance information and communicate with healthcare providers as needed Communicate necessary medical needs of residents with staff to ensure effective care Management of medical and psychiatric appointments including: scheduling, adding appointments to the digital calendar, communicating appointments with residents, creation and communication of notes Maintain organization of digital files Assist the Medical Director with psychiatric appointments, including note taking, prescription changes/orders, and overall collaboration Regulatory Compliance Oversees healthcare quality and regulatory compliance Ensures adherence to HIPAA regulations in all communication Complies with licensure requirements through the TN Department of Mental Health Document and report any significant, medical incidents which occur onsite to licensure Semi-Independent and Independent Living Care In collaboration with the house manager, support residents’ ability to independently manage their medications and medical care Meet weekly with the house manager to ensure all residents are receiving quality medical care Requirements/Qualifications

RN PMH-BC

preferred CPR/BLS certification At least three years of experience in psychiatric mental health nursing Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal and de-escalation skills Thorough understanding of psychiatric medications and therapeutic interventions Proactively address opportunities for improvement, develop solutions, and collaborate with the team to implement effective change Ability to quickly, calmly, and effectively adapt to change Work as a part of a professional team to promote and improve the mental health and well-being of each resident with open communication and respect for all Ability to respectfully guide, confront, advise, delegate, and direct residents in a therapeutic manner
