The University of Miami/UHealth Department of SCCC has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Program Sr. Manager to work at the UHealth Medical Campus in Miami, Fl. C The Sr. Manager, Programs oversees the day-to-day administrative management of assigned program(s) within the department and works to ensure the successful implementation of all initiatives. The incumbent operates with the goal of delivering high quality programs to the University faculty and staff and other key stakeholders. Furthermore, the Sr. Manager, Programs serves as the liaison to leadership, faculty, students, and staff.

Prepares, maintains, and reports on program effectiveness. 2. Assists with managing program budget by monitoring expenditures. 3. Stays abreast of market trends and legislation impacting program functions. 4. Checks, verifies, organizes, and prepares grants, procurement, and other program-relevant documents. 5. Supervises, monitors, trains, and evaluates program staff members to ensure compliance with applicable policies and procedures. 6. Coordinates logistics for program events and activities. 7. Works with other departments to increase program awareness. 8. Identifies new needs and emerging issues and develops new programs, initiatives, and resources. 9. Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures. Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures. Education:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience required

Department Specifics Summary The Sr. Research Program Manager is required to have experience in team science and community-based research to manage an NCI U01 grant which aims to integrate and assess an evidence-based survivorship care program in federally qualified health centers. The manager will work in conjunction with the community program research coordinator and navigators at each community health center to fulfill study related tasks including clinician and participant recruitment, coordination of clinician training activities, and assessments and follow-ups. The research manager will also serve a liaison across Sylvester and community health center sites and activities. They will be responsible for providing research support to the investigators, providing regulatory documentation, facilitating IRB reliance and submissions, and coordinate biweekly research meetings. This position will serve as a point of contact to the investigators and function as the lead liaison between UM and the lead community health organization, along with participating federally qualified health centers and teams. This position will facilitate efficiencies in operations and grant activities including contracting, monitoring the project’s ongoing progress, and effective coordination across groups. Department Specific Functions Work in conjunction with the external community program research coordinator and navigators at each community health center subsite to fulfill study related tasks including clinician and participant recruitment, coordination of clinician training activities, and assessments and follow-ups. Creates SOPs for data collection, study tracking, and integration of health IT systems with guidance from the Principal Investigator. Establishes study-related best practices and scientific guidelines. Leads protocol implementation, ensuring adherence to study timelines and milestones while keeping investigators informed of progress through regular updates and scheduled reporting. Identifies and addresses ethical conflicts, consulting the Institutional Review Board and ethical committees as needed. Maintains required certifications and training in research ethics, safety, and best practices. Coordinates research team meetings, manages site visits, and ensures effective communication. Establishes and maintains effective communication with community partners to support research initiatives, collaboration, and knowledge dissemination. Facilitates seamless interoperability between EHRs, data management software, and other research databases to optimize workflow and data management. Designs, manages, and optimizes data management databases (e.g., REDCap) for secure data entry, validation, and reporting. Applies frameworks such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid models to track milestones, manage risks, and allocate resources efficiently. Engages with clinical teams, IT staff, and external partners to ensure smooth system implementation and study execution.
