JOB DESCRIPTION
Brooks Rehabilitation at Halifax is hiring for a Full Time Wellness Coordinator. This position will report director to the Manager of Support Services. Essential Functions
Design, roll out, and market wellness activities through the company for the purpose of keeping employees healthy, with an overall goal to lower non preventive medical spend. Review medical claim data, Heath assessment and other data to study risk and create programming to increase employee participation in health engagement with health management programs offered by medical carrier for those at risk Initiates programs aimed at 4 pillars of the established wellness programs encouraging; preventative care, increasing physical activity, healthy eating and stress management.
Leads Wellness Committee:
[including wellness champions for outlying areas] Manage financial resources for health education/promotion programs/ wellness incentives
Manage strong relationships with managers, wellness committee, partners and other stakeholders to gain acceptance /support for health education/promotion programs
Prepare and maintain records and databases for the purpose of maintaining support data and increasing participation for the wellness programs Develop a plan to distribute wellness information (e.g. goals, activities) for the purpose of relaying information and promoting the programs. Facilitate YMCA First Coast Games annual challenge includes wellness components; managing rosters, communicating with team captains and team events.
May negotiate community based contracts (e.g. health club, trainers) for the purpose of providing employees with a broad selection of wellness discount, activities.
Identify, develop, and deliver messages using a variety of communication strategies, methods, & techniques ( ex: social networks; facebook, snapchat, twitter, Instagram) Create monthly wellness newsletters for “e” distribution to staff; to include highlights of staff accomplishments, objectives, success stories; health promotion and current events; etc.
Completes wellness award applications not limited to but including; First Coast Worksite, Cigna Wellbeing Award, Heart Association, etc.
Other Position Responsibilities:
Develop, coordinate, manage, and maintain company-wide wellness programming to reduce health risk, medical costs and encourage healthy lifestyles
Work with the company’s insurance carriers to increase participation in lifestyle management programs, increase compliance rates for preventative screenings and preventative medicine, overall
Answer employee questions regarding wellness program
Assist in drafting employee communications with respect to new benefits or wellness programming to provide continuing education
Keep abreast of current national wellness and wellness initiatives and activities, developing a network of resources and contacts. Conduct surveys to determine interest in, or satisfaction with, wellness and fitness programs, events, or services
Organize and oversee health screenings in Fall as part of Annual Heath assessment drive
Provide biometric testing Compile annual comprehensive report that outlines the financial impact of the wellness program (dashboard)
