Description:
Under the direction of the Audiologist, performs newborn hearing screenings with the Pediatric Hearing Program for infants
at all normal, special care, and intensive care nurseries at Shands Jacksonville and provides information to families and
medical staff under the direction of the audiologist.
Responsibilities Job Requirement:
Perform hearing screens at the normal newborn, special care, and intensive care nursery at Shands Jacksonville which are
reviewed by the audiologist. Assist in maintenance of testing and evaluation equipment. Based on screening results, schedules follow-up appointments, provides information to families and medical staff using criteria established by the audiologist. Participate in ongoing staff training as required by employer, program and State of Florida licensure requirements.

1-year Pediatric experience as an MA, CNA, or EMT preferred Education
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
Training – Medical Assistant – preferred
