POSITION SUMMARY
Documents specimens by verifying patient and specimen information. Prepares histologic slides from tissue sections for microscopic examination and diagnosis by the Pathologist. May study slides under microscope to evaluate stain control slides. Work is performed in accordance with CAP and CLIA standard laboratory practices and procedures.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum Experience N/A Required Registration/License/Certification N/A Preferred Education N/A Preferred Experience N/A Preferred Registration/License/Certification 1-year work experience with experience Histotechnician ASCP or National Credentialing Agency Certification for Laboratory Personnel.
