Derby, CT Main Function:
Griffin Health is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Histotechnologist to join our Laboratory team. This role is responsible for performing a variety of routine and complex histological tests and procedures to obtain data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. The ideal candidate is experienced, organized, and committed to providing high-quality patient care through accurate specimen processing and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare tissue specimens for microscopic examination by physicians. Perform embedding, microtomy, and staining of specimens including special stains and immunohistochemistry. Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure all quality control standards are met. Accurately log and track specimens to ensure proper documentation and patient safety. Collaborate closely with pathologists and other laboratory staff.
Requirements:
Education:
Certification as a Histotechnologist (HTL or equivalent) required.
Experience:
