We are a 100% pathologist-owned laboratory serving the greater Big Bend area of Florida for over half a century. We strive for excellence in caring for our patients, our clients, and our employees. Position is Monday

• Friday, 9:00 am
• 4:00 pm and will be located in our lab inside TMH Hospital. Pay range is $23.00
• $28.

00 per hour or more depending on experience.

Education/Experience:

• Current Florida Histotechnician or Histotechnologist license or HT or HTL (ASCP) certification required
• Two years’ Histotechnician experience preferred

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Processing, embedding and cutting of tissue specimens
• Staining and cover-slipping of slides
• Performing special and immunohistochemical staining procedures
• Performing frozen section procedures
• Labeling, correlating, distributing and filing slides
• Performing and documenting quality control
• Reagent maintenance and cleaning of processors and stainers
• Other laboratory duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting, carrying, pushing up to 25 lbs
• Standing, kneeling, bending
• Repetitive motion tasks for extended periods of time
• Ability to discern color
