The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing tissue samples for microscopic examination, ensuring high-quality results that contribute to accurate diagnoses. This role requires a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and techniques, as well as a commitment to maintaining a sterile environment. Duties Prepare and process tissue specimens for histological examination, including fixation, embedding, sectioning, and staining. Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure the integrity of samples and maintain a sterile working environment. Perform routine laboratory procedures and quality control checks to ensure accuracy and reliability of results. Collaborate with pathologists and other healthcare professionals to provide timely and accurate specimen analysis. Maintain detailed records of specimen collection, processing, and results in accordance with medical terminology standards. Stay updated on advancements in histotechnology and laboratory techniques to enhance skills and knowledge. Skills Proficiency in laboratory procedures related to histology, including specimen collection processing and analysis. Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to anatomy and physiology. Knowledge of vital signs assessment in a hospital setting. Familiarity with research laboratory environments and the ability to apply aseptic techniques effectively. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating independent problem-solving capabilities.
