The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in preparing tissue samples for microscopic examination, assisting in the diagnosis of diseases. This position requires a strong understanding of laboratory techniques and a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and specimen integrity. Duties Prepare and process tissue specimens for histological examination, ensuring adherence to established protocols. Perform laboratory techniques including embedding, sectioning, and staining of tissue samples. Maintain accurate records of specimen collection and processing, ensuring compliance with medical terminology and pathology standards. Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during specimen handling. Collaborate with pathologists and other laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate results. Conduct quality control checks on laboratory procedures to maintain high standards of accuracy and reliability. Stay updated on advancements in clinical laboratory practices and pathology. Requirements Proficiency in laboratory procedures related to histology, including specimen collection and processing. Experience with Frozen section is preferred. Strong understanding of laboratory operations. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to safety protocols in the laboratory setting.
