Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Histotechnologist to join its Histology Lab team on a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for specimen preparation and processing in support of pathology, cytology, and immunohistochemistry (IHC) services.

Key Responsibilities:

Accession specimens using Cerner LIS Receive and prepare specimens from surgery and pathology assistants (PA staff) Collect, process, embed, cut, and stain tissue samples Prepare high-quality slides for diagnostic review Maintain accurate specimen tracking and documentation Collaborate with pathologists and lab personnel to ensure accurate results Follow safety protocols and maintain lab cleanliness

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of experience in a pathology laboratory

• Required ASCP certification (HT or HLT)
• Required Completion of a formal histology training program , or an Associate’s degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences
• Required Experience in Pathology, Cytology, and IHC workflows
