Receives and logs specimens. Assesses quality and appropriateness of specimens received andtakes appropriate action, under the guidance of a level IIHistotech. Maintains neat, organized and legible written records. Performs routine and special Histology staining proceduresaccurately and notifies a level II Histotech of potentialproblems. Demonstrate professionalism as evidenced by the cooperativeattitude of peers and associated staff. Performs minor Histology procedures in conjunction with otherHistology personnel such as specimen registration, specimendisposal, filing slides and completing appropriate paperwork forconsults.
