ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Provide quality care and assistance to residents in accordance with the community vision, policy, and regulatory standards. Assist residents in Assisted Daily Living activities, meeting their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Adhere to each resident’s individual service plan, notifying Resident Care Coordinator of any changes in the resident’s condition, including but not limited to, physical change, reaction to medication, psychosocial status change. Assist with community activities, encourage and assist residents to participate in activities. Encourage residents to attend meals in the dining room, escort residents to and from the dining room, assist with serving meals, assist residents with meals in ways that meet their individual needs and desires, observe and report changes in the residents’ appetite and physical abilities to eat and drink. Act immediately on any resident crisis, following protocol and basic first aid training. Adhere to all company policies including dress code, conduct, scheduling, etc. Dispose of all incontinent products according to OSHA regulations and company policy. Practice proper body mechanics when lifting and follow safety guidelines according to company policy. Protect and maintain resident rights. Encourage and support resident independence. May be asked to assist with cleaning dining room, tidying residents’ room or apartment, or assist with personal laundry from time to time.

Requirements:

EDUCATION and/or

EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Long term care experience preferred. Certified in CPR and First Aid preferred. Certified in AED utilization, preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Outgoing and energetic personality. Ability to multi-task while being detail oriented. Has a passion for working with seniors.
