Juniper Tree Lane, Montgomery, AL 36117 Overview We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to individuals in need. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others. Duties
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide home care services and support in various settings
- Work with people with autism to enhance their quality of life
- Lift and transfer individuals as needed
- Offer hospice care support when required
- Administer first aid when necessary
- Provide long-term care assistance to individuals
- Engage in caregiving activities tailored to individual needs
- Prepare meals and ensure dietary requirements are met
- Support individuals in assisted living facilities Requirements
- Experience or willingness to work with individuals requiring support with ADLs
- Knowledge of home care practices and procedures
- Ability to work effectively with people with autism
- Capability to lift and assist with mobility needs
- Familiarity with hospice care principles is beneficial
- First aid certification is preferred
- Understanding of long-term care practices
- Proficiency in meal preparation for diverse dietary needs
- Experience in assisted living settings is advantageous
