DSP (Direct Support Professional) Oui Care LLC Troy, AL 36081 Job Summary The Direct Support Professional (DSP) plays a vital role in providing assistance and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. This position focuses on enhancing the quality of life for clients by promoting independence and facilitating daily activities. The DSP will work closely with clients in various settings, ensuring their health, safety, and well-being while fostering a supportive environment. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks. Provide support in maintaining a clean and safe living environment. Help clients develop skills for independent living and community integration. Monitor and document vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes are reported to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Assist clients in participating in recreational and social activities to enhance their quality of life. Implement individualized care plans as directed by supervisors or healthcare professionals. Provide first aid when necessary and ensure that all safety protocols are followed. Collaborate with team members, families, and other caregivers to coordinate care and support services.
