Centerton, AR 72719 Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of resident rights and be skilled in working with individuals with disabilities, including autism and memory care needs. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our clients while promoting their independence. Duties Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Support clients with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and comfort. Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their quality of life. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status. Prepare meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences, ensuring nutritional needs are met. Maintain accurate records of care provided while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans, including hospice care when necessary. Assist clients with direct support needs, ensuring their rights are respected at all times. Qualifications Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not required. Knowledge of resident rights and the ability to advocate for clients effectively. Familiarity with working with individuals who have disabilities, including autism and memory care challenges. Understanding of home health practices and medication administration protocols. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
