Full Job Description Direct Support Professional- West Hartford, CT Job Type:

Part-Time Schedule :

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday | 9am – 3pm

Location :

West Hartford, CT Pay Rate:

$18.00 per hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable, compassionate female Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist an adult woman with an intellectual disability in her home.

Start Date:

As soon as the selected caregiver is available.

Responsibilities:

Communication with HCC for medical concerns & or appointments Transportation to all medical, dental & specialty (staff may want to go into the app) Meal planning & Grocery Shopping Household tasks, organizing, laundry, cooking, dog walking, taking the garbage out

Mail:

DSS/Medicaid Redeterminations, SSI, Housing, Rent Subsidy, Rental Rebate, etc. (will require assistance with forms) Errands (as needed) Dept of Social Services, Social Security Admin, Housing Authority, Post-Office, Bank, etc.

Self-Care:

Exercise/ YMCA, walks, rec activities, beauty salon, etc. Meet individual & the children for their appointments

Requirements:

Must reside in or near West Hartford, CT Must have drivers license and be able to drive in stressful situations with no road rage. Prior experience as a DSP is required Completion of DSP training (through a previous employer or certified course.) Punctuality and reliability are essential
