In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with diverse needs, including those with autism and other developmental disabilities. Your primary objective will be to enhance the quality of life for our clients through personalized care and assistance in daily activities. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, empathy, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Provide memory care support for individuals experiencing cognitive challenges. Monitor and document vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes in health status are reported promptly. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and skill development. Support individuals in navigating their environments safely, which may include heavy lifting or physical assistance. Foster a nurturing atmosphere that encourages independence while providing necessary support. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop and implement individualized care plans. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for all clients. Experience Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Familiarity with working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those requiring memory care is a plus. Experience in nursing home settings or similar environments is beneficial. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
