The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including inpatient and outpatient environments. This role is crucial in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of individuals under our care, particularly in a medical-surgical or teaching hospital context. The Personal Care Assistant will work closely with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care to patients, including those in geriatrics and emergency medicine. Duties Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Monitor and report changes in patient conditions to nursing staff. Provide companionship and emotional support to patients. Help with mobility and transportation of patients within the facility. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients. Document patient care activities accurately as required. Collaborate with healthcare teams in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Support specialized care for patients in areas such as PICU or Level II Trauma Center when necessary. Experience Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with medical-surgical practices, geriatrics, hospital medicine, or emergency medicine is advantageous. Experience working in a teaching hospital or level II trauma center is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential. A commitment to providing high-quality patient care and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
