We are seeking a 2nd shift supervisor for our group homes located in Branford and Northford.

Residential Services is an agency that supports individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities in residential settings.

The lead direct support professional will be themedical liaisonfor the group home. This includes scheduling doctor appointments, medical follow-up, ordering medications and medical supplies, and working closely with the nurse. The lead staff will assist the Program Manager with the house schedule, recreation calendar, ensuring shift responsibilities are carried out by all staff.

The lead staff will be thesupervisor on 2nd shiftto ensure the group home runs smoothly and reporting any issues or concerns to the Program Manager

  • TheLead Staffwill support individuals by planning and scheduling recreation activities for individuals with disabilities
  • TheLead Staffwill assist the manager in preparing the home for licensing and QSR inspections
  • TheLead Staffposition will carry greater responsibility than that of other Support Staff by assisting the manager in the supervision of other staff
  • TheLead Staffperson will act on behalf of the program site Manager in his/her absence, assume and carry out all delegated responsibilities as assigned
  • TheLead Staffwill assist in training new staff and ensuring staff compliance
  • TheLead Staffwill act as the medical liaison for the group home
  • TheLead Staffwill have some supervisory responsibilities and complete checks and balances for the home.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Current Driver’s license
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Demonstrate at least one year of previous experience with developmental disabilities and residential services
  • Experience supervising, staff training, and delegation a plus
  • DDS Medication Certification must be valid and current at time of application
  • Working knowledge of ADL skills.

(i.e. banking, food preparation, housekeeping, personal care, money management, etc.)
