Nursing Full Job Description Job Summary Shift:

EVERY OTHER WEEKEND

Saturdays 7pm-7am Sundays 7pm-7am Male client services to be provided in the home As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to provide compassionate care and support, assisting clients in their daily activities while promoting independence and personal growth. This position requires a dedicated individual who is committed to fostering a positive and nurturing environment. Responsibilities Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their safety and well-being. Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration. Implement individualized care plans and monitor progress towards personal goals. Support clients in social and recreational activities to encourage community involvement. Lift and assist clients as needed, ensuring proper techniques are used for safety. Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and any changes in behavior or health status. Administer first aid and CPR when necessary, following established protocols. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, caregivers, and family members to provide comprehensive support. Experience Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Background in caregiving or assisted living environments is advantageous. Familiarity with first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable. Ability to lift clients safely and provide physical assistance as required. Experience in meal preparation and understanding dietary needs is beneficial. A background in nursing or related healthcare fields can enhance your candidacy.
