Executive Home Care of Southwest Broward County is a new non-skilled home health agency looking for a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Home Health Aide (HHA) to join our team in providing quality in-home care to seniors and individuals with health needs.
DESCRIPTION
As a Home Health Aide, you’ll help our clients live comfortably and safely in their own homes. You’ll provide personal care, companionship, and support with daily activities—enriching lives and building meaningful relationships along the way. You will report directly to and work under the direction of the registered nurse administrator.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) with required certificates Must demonstrate a satisfactory level of competency evidenced by evaluation by a registered nurse. Adequate health status to perform described duties. Must have the ability to effectively communicate with clients and staff. Must meet personnel qualifications. Previous experience in home care or healthcare setting preferred Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license Strong communication skills and a heart for caregiving Must pass background check and drug screening
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Provides direct and indirect personal care to the client in the home setting under the direction of a registered nurse. Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting) Monitor vital signs and report changes in condition Help with mobility and transfers Prepare light meals and assist with feeding Provide medication reminders Offer emotional support and companionship Light housekeeping and errands as needed Adheres to agency policies of home care Adheres to the role of the Home Health Aide in the home setting as defined in state regulation. The home health aide or CNA shall not change sterile dressings, irrigate body cavities such as giving an enema, irrigate a colostomy or wound, perform gastric irrigation or enteral feeding, catheterize a client, administer medication, apply heat by any method, care for a tracheotomy tube, nor provide any personal health service which has not been included in the plan of care.
