• Job Summary
• We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide support and care to individuals with developmental disabilities in a group home setting. This role is crucial in ensuring the well-being and safety of our residents, and we are looking for a team player who is passionate about making a difference in people’s lives.
• Duties
• Provide one-on-one and group support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a group home setting.
• Assist with daily living tasks, including meal preparation, personal care, and medication management.
• Monitor the health and well-being of residents, including patient observation and reporting any concerns or issues.
• Assist with mobility and ambulation, including transfers and lifting.
• Participate in community activities and outings with residents, promoting socialization and engagement.
• Document resident care and progress in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with other support staff, social workers, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
• Maintain a safe and clean living environment for residents, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
• Provide direct support to seniors and individuals with long-term care needs.
• Possess knowledge of patient care and have current CPR certification.
• Demonstrate a commitment to social work principles and values, with a focus on empowering individuals to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
• Skills
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Ability to provide patient monitoring and observation.
• Familiarity with long-term care and senior care settings.
• Certification in CPR.
• Strong direct support skills.
• Experience working in a group home or similar setting.
• Knowledge of social work principles and values.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals with diverse needs and abilities.

Evening/Night Shift 3pm to 11pm est.
