V aries based on client needs About the Role We are seeking compassionate, dependable Direct Service Workers (DSWs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in leading meaningful, independent lives. This role involves providing companionship, personal support, job coaching, and life skills training in home and community-based settings. Key Responsibilities Companionship & Personal Support Build trusting, respectful relationships with clients. Assist with daily activities such as grooming, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders. Provide transportation or accompany clients to appointments, errands, or community outings. Supported Employment Support individuals at their place of employment with tasks, routines, and social interactions. Help clients learn job duties, develop workplace skills, and meet employer expectations. Encourage independence while providing ongoing guidance and encouragement. Supported Living Coaching Coach clients on independent living skills such as budgeting, cooking, shopping, and self-advocacy. Collaborate with clients to set and work toward personal goals. Promote decision-making, community inclusion, and self-sufficiency. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred. Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance required. Must be able to pass a local and level 2 background check. Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a genuine desire to help others succeed.
